Amgen Landfill Safari

at the plastic bottle greenhouse

A few weeks ago I booked a visit to the Bryn Pica Landfill site.  You might think this would be a very strange day out, but it wasn’t as odd as it seems.

Amgen, the company who deals with the waste and recycling collections for RCT, offer educational visits to the site, to help people understand what happens to their waste, and the importance of recycling.

I will write another blog going into more detail about what I learned on the trip at a later date. The purpose of this blog entry is simply to make people aware that there is a fascinating resource available to all residents of Rhondda Cynon Taff.

I have booked another visit, following further enquiries.  This visit will take place on 16 April.  Amgen will pick people up at 1pm from the bus stop at the bottom of Sandybank Road in Ystrad.

Places are limited so if you wish to attend please get in touch, I can be contacted through Facebook, via email (estherplaid@gmail.com) or by telephone (07733670394)

If you wish to book a separate trip for your school workplace, community group, street, etc, then just contact Amgen :-
