Can you help the residents of Rhondda Care Home?
Rhondda Care Home in Ystrad is working on an exciting new project to improve their environment for the residents, to provide valuable volunteering opportunities for local people, and grow produce that can be sold in the community, and they need YOUR help.
David Harris and Christine Davies, Activities Coordinators at the home, are hoping to develop the grounds of the home to create a pleasant garden for the residents to enjoy, including bird feeding stations, flowers, benches, and vegetables. They are very keen to open the project up to members of the local community to enable the residents of the home the opportunity to interact with as many people as possible.
They are appealing to anyone in the community who can help with providing the materials they need to get this project up and running. Loans of tools, donations of seeds, bulbs, planters, seedlings etc, would all be gratefully accepted by the home, and by the residents. If anyone has any spare bird feeders they no longer use, these could be given a very welcome home by the residents, who will get a great deal of pleasure from feeding and watching the birds. Also, if you have any skills you could offer to this project, and would be interested in volunteering some time, then the Home would love to hear from you.
The residents of Rhondda Care Home are a part of our community. Iif we all work together we can show them that their community still cares about and values them. Please get in touch if you can help in any way at all.
